Job Summary
Install air conditioning and heating systems in private residences by mounting compressor units, fabricating ductwork, and soldering refrigerant lines. Cut tubing, join pipes with couplings, and connect motors, compressors, and control panels to power sources. Inject refrigerant to test systems, observe gauges for pressure adjustments, and secure insulated piping. Read blueprints to guide structural layout and assembly. Work 10-hour or 8-hour shifts with weekends as needed in Phoenix. EPA certification and a valid driver's license are required.
Required Qualifications
- One year of field-related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints/plans
- EPA certified
- Ability to pass a replacement installation examination
- Physical strength to move objects weighing 80+ pounds
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and inclined surfaces
- Must meet attendance requirements
- Ability to frequently work in tight confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Prior installation/construction experience
- Clean 39-month driving record and valid driver's license
