Job Summary
Operate a school bus transporting pupils and authorized personnel to and from schools; maintain discipline on the bus; follow assigned route and schedule; conduct pre/post-trip checks, report mechanical issues, and ensure safety. Must hold a valid Alaska CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement, complete required drug/alcohol tests, pass FBI/Public Safety checks, and be certified in First Aid. Requires high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience; lift up to 70 pounds; comfortable with training and reporting as needed. English communication and ability to read interpret safety and operation manuals are required. The role includes working indoors/outdoors in a school-year schedule with adherence to safety regulations and district rules.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement
- Fingerprints must clear Public Safety and FBI checks
- Certified in First Aid
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Two years of related experience and/or training
