Job Summary
Assist students with skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject and prepare them for externship placement. Support the lead instructor by evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance, grading assignments, and facilitating all required skill labs. Provide a professional role model while helping students develop values and attitudes appropriate to the health care profession. Maintain current knowledge in blood collection methods including capillary, syringes, vacutainer, and butterfly techniques. Work Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 5:00pm at our San Mateo location.
Required Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT-1)
- Current California CPT1 license
- Proficiency in all aspects of blood collection, including capillary, syringes, vacutainer, and butterfly methods
- Comfortable with speaking to large groups
- Ability to multitask and think critically
- Organized and detail-oriented
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant experience preferred
- 1 year of experience (preferred)
