Job Summary
Collect venous and capillary blood from newborns through geriatric patients and perform point-of-care testing on diverse age groups. Clean and restock supplies, prepare carts, and deliver specimens to the laboratory while traveling to health fairs and PSA testing sites. Complete clerical functions for POC documentation, log refrigerator temperatures, and report supply needs or equipment defects to supervisors. Communicate with patients, parents, and caregivers to identify specific population needs, and adhere to organizational competency standards.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Keyboard/data entry experience
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable
- Must be able to lift light to moderately heavy objects
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day
- Position requires travel

Desired Qualifications
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
