Job Summary
Phlebotomy Technician needed to provide venipuncture, specimen collection, and lab support across Navy clinics in the Portsmouth, VA region. Role requires completed NAACLS-accredited phlebotomy training (40 hours classroom, 100 hours clinical, 100 successful venipures), high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least one year of venipuncture experience. Clinic locations include Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Yorktown with weekday hours (Mon–Fri, 6:45 AM–7:00 PM) and occasional weekends/holidays; U.S. Citizenship is required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a NAACLS-accredited or equivalent two-part phlebotomy training program
- At least 40 hours classroom training, 100 hours clinical training, and 100 successful venipuncture procedures
- Minimum of one year experience performing venipunctures
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Basic competency in computer/data entry
- U.S. Citizenship required
