Job Summary
Perform venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes. Properly identify patients and follow procedures for specimen collection, then enter all collection data into the laboratory computer system. Pick up samples from nursing units as required and perform other related functions assigned by the Supervisor. This role is part-time, PRN, with a preference for candidates holding a high school diploma and one year of phlebotomy experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a formal training course in phlebotomy procedures from an accredited school or training program
- One year phlebotomy experience
