Phlebotomy Tech- Full Time, 2nd Shift

Perform phlebotomy procedures, blood collection, and specimen handling for neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients while adhering to infection control and CAP regulatory guidelines. Organize and prioritize specimen collection to meet turnaround times, accurately label and document patient information in the LIS and HIS systems, and report any collection problems or computer malfunctions immediately. Maintain a clean, disinfected work area, train new employees, and stay current with technology through continuing education. This full-time, second-shift role at Decatur General Lab requires proficiency in laboratory safety, patient identification protocols, and computer functions to support diagnosis and treatment.
