Job Summary
Phlebotomy Support Technician I/II collects and processes blood specimens per protocol, confirms patient IDs, uses venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labels specimens to ensure correct patient results. Responsibilities include accessioning/updating orders and preparing specimens for testing. Tech I requires a HS diploma; Tech II requires a valid phlebotomy certification. Must demonstrate strong analytical/problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with proficiency in computer systems. Location: CoxHealth Branson, MO; rotating shifts with varied hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Phlebotomy Certification/Registration as Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Assistant
- Phlebotomy experience (3 months)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Proficient in using computers and computer systems
