Job Summary
Manage patient flow, monitor inventory levels, and report compliance or staffing issues to supervisors. Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens and paternity tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and prepare specimens for testing while entering patient data accurately. Address customer service concerns promptly and promote team cohesion through effective communication. Travel to additional sites when needed and perform administrative duties as required. Work Monday through Friday between 6:30am and 5:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist
- In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortably working under minimal supervision
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience in a coordinator, lead or supervisory role
- Prior or current LabCorp employee
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
