Job Summary
Phlebotomist role performing venipunctures and specimen collections with care in a fast-paced hospital/lab setting. Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and storing specimens, specimen handling (centrifuging, freezing, packaging for transport), verifying test requisitions, explaining procedures to patients, maintaining a clean and safe environment per OSHA/DEP regulations, updating patient information, troubleshooting and contributing to workflow improvements, and communicating results over the phone as needed. Requires High School Diploma or GED, state-specific phlebotomy certification, and 2+ years of phlebotomy experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and demonstrated venipuncture skills with straight and butterfly needles.
