Phlebotomist responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection with care, labeling and storing specimens per protocol, handling centrifuging/packing for transport, verifying test requisitions, explaining procedures to patients, maintaining a safe work environment per OSHA/DEP, managing patient information with attention to detail, assisting with workflow improvements, answering patient inquiries, and attending trainings to stay current in best practices.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Phlebotomy certification (state-specific if applicable)
- 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles
