Job Summary

Collect blood specimens using venipuncture, skin puncture, and heel sticks, while also gathering non-blood samples like urine and sputum. Verify patient identity, check requisitions for accuracy, and assemble necessary equipment including tourniquets and collection devices. Process specimens for laboratory testing, run quality control reports, and access computer systems to record requests and volumes. Perform receptionist duties such as greeting patients and answering questions, while maintaining a clean workspace and restocking supplies. Adhere to all safety protocols for biohazards and assist in training interns or supporting clinical areas as needed.
