Job Summary
Phlebotomist position (trainee or qualified) in Pathlab's Patient Services department. Responsible for collecting samples from patients for medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic purposes with accuracy and timeliness, delivering compassionate care. Roles include working across Tauranga Bay of Plenty sites with rostered hours between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, plus weekend mornings and public holidays as required. Emphasizes patient dignity and respect, and opportunities for induction, training, and professional development. Suitable for either a trainee seeking credentialing or a qualified phlebotomist seeking to advance practice; registration/CPD considerations and NZ work eligibility required. In-person roles with flexible site hours.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with the Medical Sciences Council
- current Annual Practising Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Pre-Analytical Technician (desirable, but not essential)
- A valid New Zealand full or restricted driver’s licence
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand required
