Phlebotomist / Teamsters JH - Part Time - Rotational - Jefferson

Collect venous and fingerstick blood specimens from all patient types and age groups in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Train and orient new employees, students, and homecare nurses in proper practices and procedures of blood collection. Operate the laboratory computer system, monitor supply levels, and package specimens for transport to appropriate departments. Answer telephones and pages to respond to workflow changes while ensuring positive patient identification 100% of the time. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 requirements. This role supports the Allegheny Health Network's diagnostic testing services within Pittsburgh.
