Job Summary
Coordinate daily support operations for the Lab Associate group by functioning as a functional supervisor and performing all job tasks and patient testing. Lead department workflow quality, implement operational procedures, and monitor staff understanding to ensure correct implementation. Act as a point of contact for patient and clinician inquiries, refer complex issues, and monitor routine data flow to notify supervisors of deviations. Manage supply inventory, coordinate purchasing with Building Services, and handle scheduling, timesheet, and payroll issues for staff. Direct and monitor work for a small group of associates, orient and train staff, and provide input into performance evaluations. Ensure assigned areas conform to health standards and maintain confidentiality of protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of experience performing the duties of a Lab Associate
- Must be flexible to work different shifts as needed depending on business need
- With rotating weekends and holidays
- Will be required to be on-call once per month
- Schedule: FT, 40 hours. Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) experience
- Advanced level of knowledge of Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and certification for CPR
