Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens, enter patient data accurately, process billing information, and prepare samples for testing. Maintain patient and specimen logs while providing superior customer service and handling administrative duties. Travel to additional sites when needed and work a 35-hour weekly schedule Monday-Friday 7am-2pm with rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
