Job Summary
Greet donors entering and exiting the donor floor, perform venipuncture, and program the plasmapheresis machine. Monitor donors during the donation process, manage reactions, and perform all tasks required for equipment setup, verification, operation, and troubleshooting. Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets, stock supplies, and assist with proper disposal. Take and record donor vital signs, perform finger sticks, test samples, and enter donor information into the Donor Information System. Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system. Support center management in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement through 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen. This part-time role involves evening and rotating weekend shifts, with most days lasting 4 to 6 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
