Job Summary
Phlebotomist needed to perform venous and capillary blood collection across patient ages, label and prepare specimens for in-house and reference labs, enter data, perform waived testing per nursing policies, ensure accuracy of results, maintain documentation and QA records, and collaborate with nurses, physicians and lab staff. Responsibilities include reporting abnormal results, ensuring equipment sterility and maintenance, training new staff, and supporting center operations. Requires excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills, proficiency with EMR/ICD-10/CPT codes, and ability to travel between centers. Education includes high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy certification; BLS required within 3 months of hire.
