Job Summary
Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service by performing venipuncture on patients of all ages and collecting/ preparing non-blood specimens. Ensure proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering while championing safety, compliance, and quality control. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Protected Health Information accessed during routine job duties. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding PHI
- Ability to abide by all applicable privacy and security standards
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians
