Job Summary
Use equipment to collect blood and fluid samples from patients and residents while explaining procedures and gathering health information professionally. Collect and manage specimens, ensuring patient safety and documenting resident data accurately. Follow standard procedures and safety regulations, deploying asepsis techniques during all phlebotomy activities. Work a rotating 7 on 7 off schedule from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. with 35 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED)
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program
- phlebotomy experience
- experience in a laboratory-related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
