Job Summary

Register patients using Lab Outreach, scan laboratory documents into the EMR, and obtain blood, urine, feces, and microbiological specimens from patients via capillary, arterial, and venipuncture techniques. Transport, receive, centrifuge, aliquot, and distribute specimens while submitting them to reference labs and maintaining the reference lab system. Maintain supply inventory, distribute incoming supplies, and provide care to patients of all age categories. This full-time position requires rotating weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of phlebotomy training program
  • Rotating weekends and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • 1 year of college with courses in mathematics and biology
  • National Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Medical Terminology
