Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient information and process billing information and payments as necessary. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work rotating schedules including Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- 3 years or more geriatrics experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Must be available for rotating Saturdays
- Must be available for Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with 1-hour lunch break
- Must be available for Monday & Thursday 7:00am -3:30pm with 1-hour lunch break
- Must be able to travel to additional sites when needed
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience
