Job Summary
Perform bedside specimen collection on patients of all ages, including NICU, with precision venipuncture and finger-stick procedures. Collect, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining accurate patient records within EMR systems. Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols to ensure proper specimen handling and transportation. Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures and easing patient concerns during acute care interactions. Full-time opportunity in a respected hospital setting in Moreno Valley/Riverside/Coachella Valley.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years acute-care hospital phlebotomy
- Pediatric, adult, geriatric, and NICU bedside collections
- Venipuncture and finger-stick proficiency
- EMR experience
- Specimen identification/handling and tracking
- Infection-control and aseptic technique
- Quality-control documentation
- Ability to work full-time in Moreno Valley/Riverside/Coachella Valley
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience
- Experience performing bedside draws on patients of all ages
- Familiarity with bleeding-time testing procedures
- Experience maintaining quality-control documentation and logs
- Strong patient-service skills and bedside manner
