Job Summary
Perform venipunctures and finger-stick blood collections on patients of all ages in clinical settings, assisted living facilities, and patient homes. Verify patient identity and requisitions, then accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for transport while entering data into electronic medical record systems. Reassure anxious or physically limited patients and maintain cleanliness and organization of work environments. Monitor supply inventories, coordinate specimen delivery with laboratory personnel, and adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control policies. Manage sharps disposal and report safety incidents promptly. Requires current phlebotomy certification, BLS/CPR, valid driver's license, and one year of experience. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (CPT, RPT, or equivalent)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for mobile phlebotomy assignments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable vehicle for transportation
- Minimum one (1) year of phlebotomy experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with mobile phlebotomy services
- Familiarity with EMR systems and electronic documentation
