Phlebotomist/Processor

Job Summary
Conduct venipuncture for blood collection, obtain additional specimen types, and prepare samples for lab testing and screening. Provide excellent customer service, answer phones, monitor instrumentation alarms, and verify specimen information with accurate data entry. Receive, process, and package samples for referral labs while maintaining integrity and following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, and Medicare rules. Cover work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations. Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance. Valid, unrestricted driver's license with clean driving record required. High school diploma or equivalent with six months of phlebotomy experience or accredited training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) months of on-the-job experience performing phlebotomy and specimen processing
- Successful completion of a formal phlebotomy training program through an accredited educational institution
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and team members
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day
- Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds
