Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for blood specimen collection, conduct bedside test analysis, and collect non-blood specimens as instructed. Maintain instrument quality control, distribute collection supplies, and document all invasive procedures and patient refusals in medical records. Ensure timely lab completion while complying with safety policies, maintaining patient confidentiality, and exhibiting excellent customer service. Remain up-to-date on policy changes through continuing education and demonstrate competence in developmentally appropriate care. Work as scheduled, including holidays as required, with prior correctional setting experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Documented successful completion of a Phlebotomy course
- Unrestricted current certification or registration in state of practice where such is required
- Reside in the United States
