Job Summary
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect and process specimens for testing while maintaining accurate patient logs and entering data in a timely manner. Handle billing information and collect payments as required, providing superior customer service to all patients. Travel to additional sites when needed and complete administrative and clerical duties as assigned. Work Saturdays from 7am-11am and Monday through Friday as needed, with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Phlebotomy certification or three months of experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
