Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens and paternity tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient data timely, process billing information, and collect payments as necessary. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday-Saturday on an as-needed variable schedule, with a maximum of 19 hours per week. Phlebotomy certification or 3 months of experience required; high school diploma or GED minimum.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
