Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, then enter patient data accurately and timely. Process billing information, collect payments, and maintain patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service and handle administrative duties as necessary. This PRN position in Midlothian, VA offers flexible hours as needed with a pay range of $17.75 to $27.69 per hour. High school diploma or GED required, with phlebotomy certification or three months of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Reliable transportation
