Job Summary
The Phlebotomist is responsible for drawing blood, checking vital signs, finger stick blood sugars, and assisting with activities of daily living for patients in a correctional healthcare environment. This role requires completion of a certified phlebotomy training program, current CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to pass a security clearance that includes a drug screen and criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a certified phlebotomy training program
- High school graduate or hold a GED
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working as a Phlebotomist (preferred)
- Experience working in corrections/behavioral health (preferred)
