Job Summary
Phlebotomist position in an office setting at Princeton Medical Group, responsible for blood draws, reviewing orders for correct tests, performing EKGs, setting up and instructing on Holter monitors, following universal precautions, delivering samples to Laboratory, and assisting with related laboratory duties (urinalysis, screens, and send-outs). Requires prior phlebotomy experience in a high-volume environment, strong communication, ability to read orders, proficiency with Electrocardiogram and Holter monitors, and ability to handle patient flow and specimen handling. Schedule is Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM with potential overtime and occasional Saturdays; locations in Princeton, Plainsboro, and Monroe, NJ; in-person healthcare setting with pre-employment drug screen and background check; EEO employer.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a high-volume setting required
- Good verbal and written communication
- Knowledge and proficiency in performing Electrocardiogram, Holter monitor
- Must be able to read and interpret orders in order to draw correct tests
- Must be able to distinguish colors to determine appropriate tubes
- Must be able to bend to draw from patients sitting in phlebotomy chairs
- Must be able to physically access certain parts of the building within a reasonable amount of time
- Attendance is an essential component of the job
