Job Summary
Phlebotomist needed at Geisinger Primary Care Milton to collect blood specimens via venipuncture and skin punctures in a clinical/lab environment. Responsibilities include patient identification, labeling, accessioning, processing of specimens, and adherence to CLSI guidelines. Performs specimen collection across inpatient, outpatient, and field service areas; collaborates with clinical staff to ensure safe patient care and high-quality results. Mentors students and new employees; participates in inventory management and competency assessments. Shift: Days, Part-time, with differential shift incentives; includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for ASCP and career progression within Phlebotomy I–III tracks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 1 year related work experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Phlebotomy-related competencies
- ASCP certification and internal preceptor course considered
- Phlebotomist I/II/III qualifications considered for compensation
- Ability to perform venipuncture and skin puncture in clinical/laboratory settings
