Job Summary
Phlebotomist performs venipuncture and capillary puncture on adult, neonate and pediatric patients; collects urine specimens; performs EKG and spirometry; participates in the instruction of new personnel; enters data into the computer; labels and prepares specimens for testing; maintains patient confidentiality; works in a laboratory setting with hours 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday with rotational Saturdays; temp to perm. Requires high school diploma or GED and one year of phlebotomy experience; phlebotomy certification from an accredited program preferred.
