Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens and paternity tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while accurately entering patient information and processing billing payments. Maintain patient and specimen logs, handle administrative duties, and travel to additional sites as needed. Work 25 hours weekly Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 11:30pm with rotating Saturdays. This role supports Labcorp's mission to improve health by providing exceptional customer service and skilled specimen collection across the Patient Service Center.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
