Job Summary
Collect patient specimens for testing by adhering to laboratory protocols and performing pre- and post-analytic phases. Identify patients, draw blood, label samples, and verify specimens before processing, shipping, and front-loading them on instruments. Execute clerical functions including telephone communication, report generation, and faxing while maintaining outstanding customer service through effective communication. This per diem, part-time role requires formal phlebotomy training and is located at Virtua Health's Voorhees facility.
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work
- Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal phlebotomy training
- ASCP, NHA or AMT certification
