Job Summary
Phlebotomist needed for per diem hospital lab work in Ellenville, NY. Responsible for collecting specimens (venipuncture, heel sticks, finger sticks), obtaining correct paperwork, and ensuring proper timing for specimens. Maintains PPE and follows safety rules, QA/QC practices, and confidentiality of patient information. Performs clerical tasks as needed, responds to test result inquiries, and assists technologists. Requires completion of an approved phlebotomy training program, HS education, and an approved registry phlebotomy certification; 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred. Per diem, variable shifts with base hourly pay and additional per diem incentive.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program
- Minimum 1-year phlebotomy experience is preferred
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Certification: Completion of an approved registry phlebotomy program
