Job Summary
Phlebotomist to join the Casual Patient Services team in Wairau, Blenheim. Key duties include blood collection, handling contained specimens (blood, faeces, urine, tissue), preparing specimens for transportation, and providing professional customer service while liaising between health professionals, patients, and the laboratory. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and high-quality care within a supportive clinical environment. Must have or be eligible for Medical Science Council registration and an Annual Practising Certificate; opportunity to develop skills through in-house Learning and Development. Required Qualifications
- Registration with the Medical Science Council of New Zealand and an Annual Practising Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Technician (or eligibility to obtain registration)
