Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including geriatrics and pediatric patients. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, then process billing information and payments. Enter patient data accurately and timely, prepare specimens for analysis, and maintain patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to patients while handling administrative duties and traveling to additional sites as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with rotating Saturdays possible. Earn $23.00 to $33.00 per hour with access to a quarterly incentive bonus program.
Required Qualifications
- California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
- 6 months or more of experience as phlebotomist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Monday through Friday 8:00 am-12:00 pm work schedule
- Rotating Saturdays may be required
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
- Current or Prior experience at LabCorp
- 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
- Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
