Job Summary
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens, perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information, process billing, collect payments, and prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs while providing superior customer service to all patients and handling administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Work Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
