Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collect specimens for drug screens and paternity tests, and process billing information and payments. Enter patient data accurately, prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, and handle administrative duties. Provide superior customer service to patients, travel to additional sites when needed, and work independently with minimal supervision. This part-time role includes Monday through Friday mornings with rotational Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire
- Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
- California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
- Application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Rotational Saturdays included in this role
- Monday - Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
- Part Time 25 H/P/W
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
- Current or Prior experience at Labcorp
- 1 year or more phlebotomist experience with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
- Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
