Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, then enter patient data accurately and timely while maintaining logs. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Provide superior customer service to patients and handle administrative duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. This part-time role in Springfield, NJ requires bilingual English and Spanish skills, with a preference for experience drawing blood on children.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm and two Saturdays a month 8:00am-1:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
- 1 year or more experience doing blood draws on children
