Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while accurately entering patient data and processing billing information. Maintain patient and specimen logs, provide superior customer service, and handle administrative duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Work Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm with every third weekend off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Current or Previous LabCorp experience
- 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
