Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens and paternity tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient data accurately and timely, process billing information, and collect payments as required. Provide superior customer service to patients and complete administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work 24 hours per week on the 2nd shift from Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 1.5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- 24 hours/week
- 2nd shift
- Monday - Friday and rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' experience as an in-patient phlebotomist
- Current or Previous LabCorp experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
