Phlebotomist Outpatient - Full time - Day shift

The Phlebotomist collects specimens from patients (blood, urine, cultures, etc.) according to physician orders, ensuring specimen integrity and patient safety. Follows SOPs for patient ID, collection, labeling, processing, and handling of specimens. May perform draws in Outpatient Facilities or Nursing Home Facilities. Requires ability to interpret information to identify patient needs and provide care per unit policies and procedures. Education/experience: completion of phlebotomy, military medic, medical assistant, or EMT training; one of these completed or 1 year recent phlebotomy experience. Preferred certification in phlebotomy, medical assistant, or EMT; current BLS certification. Vehicle access and valid driver’s license required.
