Job Summary
Phlebotomist performs phlebotomy functions including venipuncture and microcollection, ensuring quality and timeliness of collection, processing, and distribution of specimens and input of required information into LIS. Performs Point of Care (POC) tests as defined by the department. Acts as Senior phlebotomist when circumstances require. Grady Total Rewards emphasize competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy training program (preferred)
- Certification by a recognized certifying agency preferred
- Certification by a recognized certifying agency is required within first 18-months of employment (required)
- At least one year of hospital based experience (preferred)
- Certification/License required for phlebotomy as applicable
- Input of required information into LIS
- Perform Point of Care (POC) tests as defined by the department
