Job Summary
Phlebotomist collects blood samples from patients, labels vials, and packs specimens for transport to the lab. Responsibilities include venipuncture and fingerstick collection, labeling, ensuring proper specimen handling, and maintaining aseptic technique. The role requires adhering to infection control standards and collaborating with nursing personnel to ensure accurate sample collection and timely processing. Hours are Monday 11am-7pm, Tuesday 9am-2:30pm, and Saturday 7am-2pm. Educational requirement is a High School diploma or GED, with prior phlebotomy or medical assisting experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Prior Medical/Health Care/Phlebotomist experience or Medical Assistant Certification
- Excellent communication skills
