Job Summary
Phlebotomist in Bronx performing blood collection across adults, pediatric, and newborns, reviewing lab requisitions for accuracy, labeling specimens, and preparing samples for transport. Conducts EKGs, performs waived point-of-care testing, and handles specimen processing using laboratory information systems. Maintains proper infection control practices, adheres to HIPAA policies, and supports routine duties such as maintaining logs, supplies, and equipment, with a night shift of 3:00am–6:00am and alternate weekends. Requires high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certificate or relevant experience; familiarity with phlebotomy procedures, EKG data collection, and basic computer/printing devices is expected.
