Job Summary
Collect blood specimens via venipunctures and skin punctures in clinical, non-clinical, and mobile settings while adhering to Clinical laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. Process specimens for analysis, manage inventory, and troubleshoot Point of Care instruments as assigned. Collaborate with clinical counterparts to ensure safe patient identification and specimen accessioning, providing coverage in Acute, Post-acute, Clinic, and Field Service areas. Mentor students and new employees while maintaining a clean driver record for mobile duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Related work experience
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
- Valid Driver's License - Default Issuing Body
- Communication
- Computer Literacy
- Interpersonal Communication
- Laboratory Services
- Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic Specialist (68W), Aerospace Medical Technician (4N0X1), or other medical specialty
