Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist collects blood and other specimens for laboratory testing across hospital departments (inpatient, outpatient, ER, outreach clinics) ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. Responsibilities include venipuncture and capillary collection for patients of all ages, proper patient identification, accurate labeling and transport of specimens, specimen processing and QA activities, adherence to OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA standards, use of PPE, and potential travel to outreach clinics. Works in a fast-paced hospital environment with varying shifts and on-call schedules; supports quality initiatives and provides courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.
