Job Summary

Perform venipuncture, capillary collection, and IV specimen collection according to study protocols while maintaining appropriate aseptic technique. Accurately collect, identify, and manage blood and other biological specimens, ensuring documentation is timely and compliant with Good Clinical Practice, ICH guidelines, and Spaulding SOPs. Support participant safety and comfort throughout study participation while assisting with additional clinical tasks as delegated. Maintain flexibility to support varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and additional hours as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Currently employed as a phlebotomist with a minimum of one year of professional phlebotomy experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to participant safety and quality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond appropriately to changing study needs
  • Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and additional hours as required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle clinical equipment and materials
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to maintain near and distance vision
  • Ability to distinguish colors
